Lobsterboys’ Brown Butter Lemon Skillet Lobster
Serves: 2–4

When you start with premium hardshell lobster, the best move is to let it show off a little. This simple skillet recipe brings together nutty brown butter, fresh lemon, garlic, herbs, and sweet lobster meat for a dish that feels special without being fussy.
Here’s your list of ingredients: Meat from 2 Lobsterboys live lobsters, or 12–16 oz cooked lobster meat, 4 tbsp unsalted butter, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced, 1 shallot finely diced, Zest of 1 lemon, Juice of ½ lemon, 2 tbsp chopped fresh chives, 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional, Flaky sea salt, and Fresh cracked black pepper.
For serving you will want grilled sourdough or a crusty baguette and lemon wedges.
Directions:
1. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil.
2. Once the butter starts to brown and smells nutty, add the shallot and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until softened and fragrant.
3. Add the lobster meat and gently toss for about 2 minutes, just until warmed through. This is not the moment to wander away — lobster is already the star, and overcooking it is the fastest way to steal its spotlight.
4. Remove from the heat. Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, chives, and red pepper flakes, if using.
5. Finish with flaky sea salt, cracked black pepper, and a generous spoonful of that brown butter from the skillet.
Serve immediately with warm grilled bread for soaking up every last drop of the lemony butter sauce.
