Fallin’ for Seasonal Fun in NYC and Beyond

Circle Line, the iconic sightseeing cruise, will once again have two of their highly anticipated seasonal cruises. They have announced the return of the boo-loved boat ride, the “Howling Halloween Pup Cruise.” This one-day-only spooktacular invites guests and their four-legged friends to dress up in their best Halloween costumes to enjoy the New York skyline from the water. Taking place on Sunday, October 29 at 12 p.m., Circle Line invites guests and their canines, in costume or not, to em-bark on a Halloween adventure like no other. Circle Line is also having their very popular annual “Bear Mountain Cruise” featuring delicious Oktoberfest-themed food, drinks, and musical entertainment. Encounter the gorgeous colors of fall on the captivating eight-hour, fifty-mile journey up the Hudson River to the beautiful Bear Mountain State Park. This very popular cruise is held on weekends through November 12. 

Clinton Hall is ready for one of the most beloved and anticipated celebrations of the year: Oktoberfest! Clinton Hall’s Oktoberfest specials, available from now to October 27th, at Clinton Hall’s FiDi (90 Washington Street), 36th Street (16 W. 36th Street), E. 51st Street (230 E. 51st Street), Bronx (601 E. 189th Street) and Williamsburg (247 Metropolitan Avenue) locations across the city. Visitors can now experience the delectable Oktoberfest menu that promises to transport you straight to the heart of Germany. Enjoy tantalizing treats like the Wurst Oktoberfest Platter, a show-stopping ensemble including a jumbo hot pretzel, Schaller & Weber Knackwurst, chicken bratwurst, cheddar bratwurst, wurst tots, deviled eggs, pickles, sauerkraut, and Bavarian mustard. So, whether you’re a fan of classic Bavarian dishes, crave a delightful variety of drinks, or simply want to immerse yourself in the Oktoberfest atmosphere, Clinton Hall is the place to be. Prost! 

Official Website of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation has posted activities that will be available for the entire family that includes movies, festivals, screenwriting workshop, pumpkin patch, skate night, pet costume party, and even a haunted house. The best thing about these events is that they are happening all around the city so it’s easy to find something festive and fun in your neighborhood to do.

Loreley Beer Garden on the Lower East Side had a “Halloween Haunted Beer Garden“ that pops up on October 18th with over the top Halloween décor, cocktails, daily specials, and fan favorite pumpkin kegs. The kegs are actual hollowed out pumpkins filled with 60 or 120 ounces of Southern Tier Brewing Company’s Imperial Pumpking Ale – best enjoyed in the heated outdoor garden, which will be transformed into a haunted spot filled with witches, zombies, ghouls, cobwebs, ghosts, corpses hanging from the ceiling, possessed babies and other bone chilling surprises. Celebrations will be in full force for Halloween with a Day of the Dead Party on October 27th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., for which all staff will have skull makeup and guests will also be able to get their makeup done (first come first served). On October 28th and 31st guests can show off their best Halloween looks for the Loreley Beer Garden Costume Contest with three winners winning gift cards (worth $50 – $250) each night. On Halloween night October 31st happy hour will last until 10 p.m. and pumpkin kegs refills are $29 all night.

Pink Taco the rocker- chic Mexican restaurant in Times Square, serving up tacos with attitude since 1999, will be decked out with full halloween décor to celebrate the festivities on October 31. From 6 p.m. to closing time, the restaurant will be hosting a one-of-a-kind event, serving up Happy Hour specials all night, music, face painting and a costume contest, where 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners get PT gift cards along with the first 25 guests through the door receiving Pink Taco swag. Enjoy PT favorites throughout the evening such as $8 dollar margaritas and OG Pink Tacos, and more while you dance the night away. The Dia De Los Muertos themed Halloween bash will be available at all Pink Taco locations in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C, and Boston.

BloodManor at 359 Broadway, New York City’s premier haunted attraction, is thrilled to announce its 20th year anniversary, marking two decades of spine-chilling scares and thrilling entertainment. As the pioneers of the haunted house experience, BloodManor has become a staple in NYC for the Halloween season, delighting and terrifying millions of visitors over the years. In honor of this momentous holiday season, BloodManor has prepared another year of unforgettable theatrical quality production, with three new rooms, all NEW costumes created by the designers of NYC’s ultimate Halloween store Abracadabra, trained actors, set designers, and make-up artists. This year’s experience will leave visitors more afraid and excited than ever. The 20th-anniversary season will showcase an array of horrifying attractions, mind-bending theatrics, and bone-chilling surprises, ensuring a night of terror unlike any other. BloodManor is open every weekend and some weekdays from through Saturday, November 4.

Common Ground has a “Spooky” Edition Question Party on October 25th at 6 p.m. Common Ground is located at 63 Gansevoort Street and The Question Party will help answer the most common ‘question” of what to do this Halloween with their comedy and trivia night. A weekly event at Common Ground which takes place each Wednesday in the heart of Meatpacking will be “spooky themed” with comedy duo Dan Davies and Michael Stauffer who will host their live trivia show for people who don’t take trivia too seriously. The Halloween-themed Question Party will include dramatic “guest the lyric” readings while the hosts act out scenes from famous films while queuing up popular jams and asking hand crafted trivia questions. Costumes, dancing and laughing is welcome. 

Gab’s is having Retro Magic on October 31 for guests to enjoy dinner and a show this Halloween! Known for their 60s and 70s aesthetic from decor to music, Gab’s in the West Village at 76 Carmine Street will be definition of “mod” and magic as guests are encourage to dress in their best hippy attire at dinner for a chance to win a $200 gift card to the restaurant for a future date. During dinner, magician Josh Pele will perform for guests tableside with themed music to pair. The restaurant will have candy for neighborhood trick-or-treaters. 

Isle of Us at 1431 Third Avenue has a special event on October 31st  for the kiddos. Kids dressed up on Halloween who stop by the Upper East Side marketplace and cafe will snag a treat with festive custom pumpkin and ghost cookies. Available while supplies lasts. The cookie cost for adults is $4.
