- I’ve been considering a gym membership. Is it enough simply to join, or do I have to work out, too?
Good question, and even the experts disagree on this one. While you certainly optimize the value of your workouts by actually doing them, recent studies have shown that many, if not most, fitness club members experience important benefits simply by joining and paying monthly or annual fees.
The reason is simple. Monetary output for a gym membership assigns real-world value to the concept of fitness—much the way weekly therapy bills (whether you make the session or not) do for the concept of emotional health. A financial commitment to fitness can be an important first step in getting fit.
- I notice there are two kinds of memberships: an annual plan and one that bills my credit card monthly. Which is better?
The answer depends on your personal lifestyle, economic situation and individual goals. Most members tell us they find automatic monthly billing to to a debit or credit card to be the best choice. That’s because when you see our name on your statement, it serves as friendly reminder that when you’re ready for us, we’re here for you.
Another advantage of automatic monthly billing? Your membership will never expire! So even if you forgotten where we are or even that you signed up in the first place, you’ll continue to be a member in good standing.
- Are there benefits to working out with an In-N-Out Fitness personal trainer?
Actually, there are many. But for members too busy to manage even the semblance of a personal life, a weekly or bi-weekly session with one of our attractive, well-muscled personal trainers can provide their only close physical contact with another human being. We’re proud to offer In-N-Out Fitness members a bespoke experience that’s good for the body and the soul.
- When I toured In-N-Out Fitness, I got a headache from the relentless pounding music tracks. Do your members enjoy working out to ear-splitting techno?
Another great question. And the answer is no, or no more than they enjoy grueling leg presses, uphill spinning, and repetitive death marches on elliptical stairs. Still, most fitness experts agree that unbearable, driving audio tracks help to maximize the efficiency of your time at the gym, speeding you out the door to get on with the rest of your day.
- I just realized that what I thought were my hips are actually the sides of my belly— the result of two pregnancies after the age of forty. Will working out help?
Not really. But for an additional fee, we can arrange a private consultation with our on-site nutritionist, who can also walk you through our ongoing popup shapewear sale. Or, if you prefer, Tracy—who works at the front desk— can recommend a couple of excellent cosmetic surgeons.
