Horizon of Khufu – An Awe Inspiring Journey to Ancient Egypt on Manhattan’s West Side

The incredible immersive journey Horizon of Khufu is now captivating guests in NYC. It is a state of the art virtual reality experience is like no other. You’ll be transported back in time 4,500 years to discover the wonders of Ancient Egypt. Locals and guests of the city are fortunate to engage in this outstanding opportunity that has been enthralling individuals in London, Paris and Atlanta.

Horizon of Khufu is located at Manhattan’s Eclipso Centre at 555 West 57th Street in Hell’s Kitchen convenient to transportation options including the city’s crosstown buses. The venue has 11,000 square feet of interactive space. Each guest is comfortably equipped with a VR headset to become totally immersed in Egyptology.  

The Nile

In 45 minutes you’ll find yourself at the Great Pyramid of Giza, at the tombs of Pharaoh Khufu, overlooking the expansive Giza Necropolis, journeying on the Nile, viewing the ceremonious final rites of King Khufu, and more. Guided by virtual tour guides, you’ll feel a true sense of adventure that comes with great travel. We guarantee there will be many moments that you will feel as though you’re actually at the sites.

Enjoying the virtual reality of Egypt

This time travel is brought to NYC by the innovative virtual reality entertainment company, Eclipso and it is powered by the advanced production, technology, and content of international virtual reality leaders, Excurio’s Immersive Expeditions. In fact, Excurio consulted with renowned Egyptologist, Dr. Peter Der Manuelian of Harvard University’s Giza Archives Project to develop the content for Horizon of Khufu, which meticulously recreates the ancient world with historical accuracy, providing a genuine, finely developed view of Egypt’s past.
