After nine days on a cruise ship, we couldn’t help but marvel at the efficient service. When we were offered a tour behind the scenes, we couldn’t wait to find out how everything on this…

It was worth the wait. When we arrived in our last port city on our Royal Caribbean cruise, Saint John, New Brunswick did not disappoint.

Farm to table is an oft-heard phrase these days with restaurants hoping to lure in diners who hope to enjoy fresh food grown nearby and not shipped in from another country. For one afternoon, our…

One excursion during our Royal Caribbean cruise was a bus and water tour of Boston. Except for a high school trip in the 1960s, I had never spent much time in the city. Our two…

Very few pieces can keep up with all of that. A good pair of linen pants comes close. Linen is breathable, quick-drying and softens with every wash, which makes it a

Agree on the Reading Before Choosing Book Club Questions

One reader arrives ready to discuss the ending. Another is halfway through, and a third has brought a different book because they understood the invitation as a chance to exchange recommendations. All three may enjoy talking about books. They have prepared for different conversations. Before choosing discussion questions, agree on what the group is reading and where the conversation can go. A whole novel, a shared excerpt, and a gathering where everyone brings a book
