Diner en Blanc NYC 2025-An Unforgettable Event

What a night! New York City's Diner en Blanc lived up to its billing. Marina Kennedy was there and spoke to Chef Daniel Boulud.

On Friday, September 19, as the sun set slowly over the Hudson River, guests enjoyed a magnificent Diner en Blanc at Robert Wagner Park on the Lower East Side. A total of 2,500 guests attended the event that was limited by the size of the park. Guests had a sweeping picture-perfect waterfront view while they dined on delicious fare, danced, and of course documented all their good times in photographs to share on social media. Woman Around Town was there for all the excitement.

This year, for the first time, every Diner en Blanc event around the world was celebrated with a floral theme, “Blooming Elegance.” This united participants and created fashion and decorating sensations. Sandi Safi, the Co-Founder and CEO of Diner en Blanc International Inc. commented, “With its global theme of Blooming Elegance, this year’s Dîner en Blanc NYC blended timeless French sophistication with New York’s vibrant culinary scene through Chef Daniel Boulud’s curated gourmet picnic baskets. Enhanced by Chambord’s interactive cocktail and décor activations, the event reimagined the storied French tradition as a modern fusion of Parisian elegance and New York cultural creativity, opening doors to stronger brand integrations, elevated chef collaborations, and a more connected global community of diners.”

We had the opportunity to meet and chat with Chef Daniel Boulud, the charming, world-renowned chef who attended Diner en Blanc for the first time. He is well known to New Yorkers for his restaurants that include Daniel Boulud Kitchen, Epicerie Boulud, Boulud Sud, and Bar Boulud.  He commented about the perfect weather and called the setting “a magical location.” Boulud created the wonderful picnic baskets that were made available for interested guests.

He drew the inspiration for the menus from his own favorites. The “Capucine” basket included Green Gazpacho, his own DB Smoked Salmon, and Roasted Chicken Salad and Raspberry Shortcake. There was also a “Tournesol” basket with delights like Spinach & Leek Quiche, Vadouvan Cauliflower, and Orange Blossom Madeleines. We were able to ask Chef Boulud for a little advice for people who are interested in a culinary arts career and found his response inspiring. He stated, “Be yourself, stick to your roots and surround yourself with good mentors.”

Best Bakuchiol Eye Creams for Mature Skin: A Ranked Roundup

The under-eye area asks more of a formula than any other patch of facial skin. It is thinner, it moves constantly, and after forty it shows the consequences of a slowing dermal economy with unusual candor. Bakuchiol, the plant-derived meroterpene that has quietly rewritten the rules of what a gentle wrinkle-active can do, is at home here. The challenge is finding a version formulated with this specific demographic in mind. This roundup ranks seven bakuchiol

Top Medical Malpractice Insurance for OB/GYNs

From prenatal care and labor and delivery support to C-sections, gynecologic surgery, fertility-related care, and preventive women’s health services, the stakes are undeniably high. Because outcomes broadly involve both a mother and her baby, claims and settlements can be complex and expensive. This makes finding the right medical malpractice insurance for OB/GYNs a critical business decision.
