Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas

I love Mother’s Day. I love that it comes just as spring has really started blooming.  The scent of lilacs fill the air, the peonies are plump and their heavy heads have not yet fallen to the ground.  The birds are back and building their nests while we humans gather to celebrate our Moms.

This year I’m planning a brunch for my family. While the food will be classic brunch fare, I want it to seem even more delicious by decorating my table with everything that says Spring is Finally Here.

Maison d’ Hermine Rose Garden 100% Cotton Tablecloth comes in various sizes and looks like a spring garden has bloomed on your table.

Not Shown: ZOOYOO Paper Straws 100pc For Parties and Celebrations (Pink/Gold). For the eco-conscious as they sip mimosas and bellinis.

Tudor Royal Collection 24-Piece Premium Quality Porcelain Dinnerware Set, Service for 6 – come with 10 designs.  A special brunch requires special plates.  You’ll use these over and over.

BEGONDIS Set of 3 Artificial Flower Arrangements with Flax Bag. These small artificial flower arrangements will look lovely at each place setting and your guests will appreciate taking one home.

Cipriani Food Peach Bellini Mix – 6.09 Fluid Ounce – 4 Glass Bottles (1 Pack) One of the best Bellini mixes I’ve tried.  Just pour some in a half a champagne glass and top with Prosecco. It’s just like brunch in Venice.

Le Creuset Stoneware 1.45-Quart Tart Dish, Cerise (Cherry Red). Bring some pizazz to the table with this colorful quiche or pie pan.

Hoan Bagel Guillotine – Why tempt fate and slice bagels by hand?  Do It the safe and easy way.

Temp-tations Platter Floral Lace Serving Tray 18″ x 11″ w/FREE Carving Set- Floral Lace Green tray is large enough for serving those bagels and lox.

Godinger Windsor Jam Jar will look pretty on your table filled with either jam or honey.

Quick, Protein-Packed Breakfasts for Busy Mornings

Mornings rarely go as planned. Between getting out the door, juggling a commute, and trying to fit in everything before the day really starts, breakfast is often the first thing to get skipped or replaced with something quick and not particularly satisfying. The problem is that skipping a protein rich breakfast tends to backfire by mid morning, leading to an energy dip and the kind of hunger that makes it hard to focus until lunch.
