Here are our suggestions.
Beauty products endorsed by celebrities spend a lot of money on TV ads. And, truth be told, many who purchase these items love them. The caveat is that if you buy through the website, you are often signing on to receive these products every month. Once the introductory offer that seemed like a good deal, and really was a good deal, is over, you may find yourself on the hook for products you may not like. Reviews often say that once you sign on, cancelling may be an issue.
Most of the packages contain two types of skin care creams that women do like. One is a hydration gel or cream. The other is a cream to smooth and tighten skin. The celebrity versions, according to reviews, do work. But if you want one of these products without signing on for the entire package, we recommend two OTC items: Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost, either cream or gel, and Olay Regenerist Micro-Scupltuing Cream.

On Amazon, the package for Neutrogena includes both the gel cream and the hydrating gel cleanser. A good deal for $22.35. Click to see and buy.

There’s a reason women keep coming back to Olay products – because they work for much less than fancy designer creams. To keep your skin glowing, use the micro-sculpting cream in the morning and the evening cream before bedtime.

Another product endorsed by a celebrity promises to get rid of wrinkled, “crepey” skin, particular on the arms. It’s one problem that prevents some older women from wearing sleeveless dresses, particularly in the summer. These creams promise to do away with those embarrassing wrinkles and they TV ads even have a doctor verifying that they work. Once again, you may find yourself signing up for a monthly delivery with prices increasing over the initial offer. If you’ve used these products and love them, great. But if you’re looking for a way to get rid of wrinkles, then opt for one of the Nivea body creams or lotions.
We love the Nivea Essentially Enriched moisturizers. They are rich and go on smoothly, quickly absorbed in the skin. To see the best results, you the cream daily, and not only on your arms. This cream is great for legs and feet, too. And at $13.47 for two bottles, a real bargain.

Who doesn’t want white teeth? We’ve tried to whitening products, one advertised on TV constantly. Neither one worked. We asked the dentist the during our next visit and was told the best way to whiten teeth at home is to use Crest White Strips. The caveat? You have to use them religiously for three weeks straight. But don’t go crazy of you forget a day or two. Just get back on schedule and you will see results. Yes, it’s a little messier than just putting some extra cream on a toothbrush. But the proof is in the results. Your teeth will be whiter and brighter. And for less than $40, it’s cheaper than a professional treatment at the dentist office.
