Poet’s Corner – Next Season

Just in time for the beginning of fall, Marsha Solomon celebrates the start of a new season.

The long stems are fading

As the garden deepens to fall.

Freckles of light drop

In a sliver of space

Between the flowers that look like lace.

Beside a bed of roses

Leaves shiver on the trees.

Along the path, sparrows sing

To the seeds spilling

For the next season.

The poem, “Next Season” and the artwork, “Between the Flowers,” by Marsha Solomon.
