The trees in blushes of harvest
Between the paths of fallen leaves
Showing the way.
Our memories are vivid with veils of colors
Alizarins, ochres and oranges and
Yellows in-between.
The canopy of multicolored greens
Covers and protects the steps we take
Through a collage of crunched leaves
Snipped in papercuts.
Autumn still awakens.
Poem, “Autumn Still Awakens,” and artwork, “In Autumn Dreams,” by Marsha Solomon.
