Going to a Show? Check Out the New Restaurants in Midtown

It’s great to be in the know about new restaurants. If you’re headed to the theatre, here are seven recently opened spots that will make your meal experience shine as bright as the lights on the theatre’s marquis.

Bowtie Bar (2 Times Square) Located inside the Renaissance Hotel Times Square, Bowtie Bar is a sophisticated yet approachable cocktail lounge set to redefine the nightlife scene in the heart of New York City. The bar and lounge invites guests to sip craft cocktails while soaking in panoramic, wraparound views of the iconic Times Square through floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a vibrant backdrop for elevated drinks, picture-perfect moments, and unforgettable celebrations. Whether you’re a Broadway buff, a local New Yorker, or a visitor looking to take in the city’s electric energy, this lounge sets the stage for pre- or post-show drinks, after-work gatherings, and special occasions. Inspired by the magic of Broadway, Bowtie Bar’s experience is a true showstopper.

Giulietta (200 Park Avenue) This magnificent all-day Italian restaurant, anchors the base of the iconic MetLife Building. Blending the glamour of mid-century New York with the transporting spirit of a holiday on the Italian coastline, Giulietta brings a sun-drenched Mediterranean sensibility to the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Whether you stop by the bar for drinks or indulge in a full meal of delectable Italian cuisine, Giulietta is sure to please.

Berimbau Brazilian Table (3 West 36th Street) The restaurant is a true culinary adventure bringing the spirit and flavors of Brazil to New York City, perfect for a lively dinner with friends or post-work caipirinhas. From Rio-born restaurateur Mario de Matos, owner of the original Berimbau in the West Village, this new location is more than a restaurant, it’s a cultural hub and a tribute to the rhythm and rich natural beauty that defines his homeland. The menu, created by Executive Chef Victor Vasconcelos, a São Paulo native with deep roots in Brazilian gastronomy, features dishes that elevate traditional Brazilian cuisine with a modern twist.

Sushi Beauu (13 West 33rd Street) Experience the newly opened, popular omakase counter at Sushi Beauu in the Empire State Building. Owner Keisuke Kasagi, a Hokkaido-born, New York–based hospitality veteran is well known for beloved Japanese dining destinations. Keisuke has appointed Executive Chef Tetsu Kaminakaya, who just relocated to New York, to helm the kitchen after decades of running his own restaurant in Japan.

Delos Greek Restaurant (102 West 47th Street) This new contemporary Greek dining destination, opened in early February by restaurateur and Carnegie Hospitality CEO Stathis Antonakopoulos, who is best known as the force behind Carnegie Diner & Café. Delos brings refined Greek cuisine, an expansive Mediterranean wine program, and elevated design to the crossroads of the Diamond and Theater District. With traditional and creative Greek cuisine, the restaurant presents pre-theatre and post-theatre menus, just right for theatergoers.

CUE 48 (1605 Broadway) The chic bar and lounge is a vibrant social eatery where New York energy meets all-day ease. Fittingly led by Chef Sani Hebaj, a New Yorker to his core, who was born in Brooklyn to immigrant parents. It was here that his lifelong passion of cooking and hospitality was ignited by the diverse food and cultural fabric of the city. CUE 48, leans into this and the menu pays homage to the distinct items that shape the fabric of NYC food staples. Its design, too, harkens back to the roots of New York City, nodding to the principles of theatrical modernism: clean, structured and expressive.

Ginger (123 West 49th Street) Ginger is a celebrated Rome-based restaurant known for its ingredient-led take on Italian cuisine, rooted in flavor, wellness, and mindful living. With three locations in the heart of Rome, Ginger opened its first-ever U.S. outpost in New York just last fall. Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean and Blue Zone diets through a contemporary lens, and guided by a slow-food philosophy, the kitchen emphasizes sustainability, transparency, and balance. Designed as an all-day café-to-cocktail destination, Ginger moves seamlessly from espresso, smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and pastries to nourishing lunches, vibrant aperitivi, and elegant seasonal dinners.
