5 Citrusy Summer Cocktail Recipes with Only 3 Ingredients

The warm weather invites many opportunities to enjoy refreshing cocktails. With summer entertainment and outdoor activities, it’s the ideal time to mix up drinks that are as easy to make as 1-2-3 with only three ingredients. 

Citrusy cocktails, featuring the quintessential summer ingredients of lemon and lime, are incredibly popular this season for tart tastes and zesty flavors. They combine well with everything from gin to rum or even Lambrusco for a well-balanced sip. 

These five refreshing and fruity cocktails prepare our palates for sunshine and to beat the heat. With some simple ingredients, you can have a delicious cocktail ready to satisfy your summer cravings in a few minutes. We have included links to the top-notch spiris used in the recipes. 

Sardinian Lemonade

Ingredients: 

-2 Parts Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin with Sardinian Citrus
-1 Part Lemon Juice
-Top with Ginger Beer

Method: Mix the gin with the lemon juice in a rocks glass over ice and top with ginger beer.

Oaxaca Spritz

Ingredients:

-1 ½ oz GAD Agave Gin Receta Oaxaqueña?? 
-1 oz lemon juice?? 
-2/3 oz agave honey?? 
-María & Bernardo sparkling wine to top off?? 

??Method: Add the ingredients into a tall glass with ice. Top off with sparkling wine and slightly mix. Garnish with a slice of lemon and enjoy!?? 

Mexican Fire Squad

Ingredients:

-2 oz Bribón Tequila Reposado
-5 dashes Angostura bitters
-¾ oz Raspberry Grenadine
-¾ oz Fresh lime juice
-Mint & blueberry to garnish

Method: Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and couple blueberries and enjoy! 

Spanish Daiquiri

Ingredients:

-1 ½ oz Dos Maderas 5+3 Spanish Rum
-¾ oz simple syrup
-¾ oz lime juice

Method: Shake the ingredients with ice, strain over crushed ice in a cocktail glass, garnish with a thin lime wheel.

Riunite Lambrusco Spritz

Ingredients:

-1 part Riunite Lambrusco 
-1 part Maschio Prosecco DOC
-Lemonade or a squeeze of lemon to top off

Method: Serve over ice and garnish with a vibrant lemon wheel.
