Many of us think it’ll be the end of the world if we have to live in a studio apartment. Even though you may have discovered gorgeous Antelope, CA apartments, you may be afraid to move in because they are studios and you believe that you just aren’t going to have enough space.

It’s important to know that there are certain myths and issues about studio apartment living that are either misleading or you’ve never thought of them. So, if you have a desire to live in a smaller apartment to cut down on rent, and a studio seems like your best option, we’d like to tell you about some things you should know before embarking on this epic adventure.

With that said, let’s take a look at some important discoveries right now.

Living in a Cluttered Studio Apartment Isn’t Ideal to Say the Least

If you’re going to live a studio apartment, where you have either few or no closets at all, then clutter can become a major concern that needs to be nipped in the bud right away. With too much clutter in your apartment, you’ll feel trapped, claustrophobic, and it’ll feel like you have no air to breathe. But don’t fear studios because of this, because you just have to stay conscious of your clutter and make changes to avoid this unwanted sensation.

Remember, in a studio you will not have a spare room or too many additional closets to tuck things away in. So, as soon as you sign a lease, you need to make a point of rigorously decluttering before moving into your new space. If you have too many valuable and precious things that you can’t part with, then it’s time to consider renting a storage space instead of jamming everything into your apartment.

For most people, they could easily declutter their possessions and donate many of the things they no longer use. In fact, you’ll feel much better off and a lot lighter after you get rid of these burdens that you didn’t even realize were weighing you down.

Make every effort to cut back on the clutter and keep it out of your new studio apartment. Again, renting storage space is a viable option, but you should make every effort to declutter your possessions first instead of paying to store things that you really don’t want or need.

Keep Your Apartment Simple

As you move into your new place, you’ll have to make the right decisions to live a comfortable lifestyle. Some of us like to make our lives unnecessarily complicated, and if you’re that type of person, you could really go overboard designing your studio apartment.

Remember, some people really don’t need a specified place to eat, work, or watch TV. You can easily eat your meals on the couch instead of setting up a dining area. When working at home, feel free to lie down in bed and work on your laptop instead of slapping an unneeded desk in the corner.

Most important of all, you need to carefully think about your living situation and only add what’s needed the most. Otherwise you will needlessly clutter up your new studio.

Can I Sleep in My Living Room?

In a studio apartment, your bedroom is also going to be your living room, your dining room, your kitchen, and any other room you can think of. Don’t worry about sleeping in your living room. Just remember to make your bed in the morning, because otherwise your apartment is going to look like the site of a major disaster.

Final Thoughts

Clearly, there’s more to studio apartment living than meets the eye. But now you know the truth of the matter, and you can determine if living in a small apartment like this is going to be ideal or a major burden. Use this info to make your decision wisely.
