Like a sacred scroll, opened wide
Muted tones hide
The sun from morning on
Cloths of clouds thick and dense
Cover in quiet atmospheres.
Days are long with unexpected things
To be solved.
Enter into the linear branch
Like a question mark
And reaching upwards
In an elegant motion
Waiting for songbirds to sing.
The poem titled “Waiting for Songbirds to Sing” and created an artwork “Waiting for Songbirds” by Marsha Solomon.
