The cold winds blow
Across the lonely sea:
No work that pays;
No dolls to play;
Ruled by abnormalcy.
The cold winds blow
Across our quiet sea:
No fish to catch;
No eggs to hatch;
No matter how we plead.
The cold winds blow;
Don’t look at what you see:
He says we’re great;
Promoting hate…
How greater can we be?
The cold winds blow,
Across the troubled sea:
Our sails deflate;
Asphyxiate;
People, just like me.
The cold winds blow;
Dreams buried out at sea:
Treasures lost;
Outrageous cost-
Paid with democracy.
And should winds still,
We’ll know the chill,
From that which came our way:
Can’t see the sun.
No longer one.
We sold our brighter Day.
We’ll have a King.
No longer sing.
Truth gone, only decay.
There’ll be no choice
To use our voice
Because we didn’t say…
I love my land.
It’s worth my stand,
To blow the winds away.
When cold winds blow…
