And Woman Around Town is giving away two tickets for the event. The first person to email CANDACE to us on Wednesday, December 3, after 3 p.m. will be the winner. The email to send to: WATExplorer@gmail.com.
What first started out as a column, then a bestselling novel, and lastly, highly acclaimed HBO series, Sex and the City was one of the first to celebrate female friendships, and the bond between them. It featured frank and unapologetic attitudes about sex and desire; no subject was off the table.

Candace Bushnell
According to her publicist, Bushnell created Carrie Bradshaw as her alter-ego while writing Sex and the City because she didn’t want her parents to know that she’d just been to a sex club.
In the one woman show, expect to hear about how dating in New York has changed, and what the success of the books and series has meant for her. Next stop for Bushnell: bringing her one-woman tour to Europe in 2026.
True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City comes to Adler Hall at New York Society for Ethical Culture (West 64th Street and Central Park West) on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 8pm.
