Cheers to the Season – Six Easy Cocktail Recipes to Impress Your Guests 

‘Tis the season for trying out your mixology skills and we have some exciting ideas for you. Here are recipes including two for a group. They are ideal for sipping while wrapping gifts, toasting the presence of beloved guests, or imbibing while relaxing or when you are making holiday plans. Check out these cocktails and the exquisite spirits that make the drinks happen!

Cuervo Nuevo

Ingredients: 

-1.5 oz. Jose Cuervo® Tradicional® Plata Tequila 

.5 oz . Elderflower liqueur 

-2 oz. Brut Champagne 

-2 oz. Club soda 

Method: Run a lemon wedge along half of the outer rim of a coupe glass and roll in gold edible glitter. Then set it aside. Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir gently, and strain into the prepared coupe glass. Garnish with edible gold glitter.

Tia Espresso Martini

Ingredients: 

-1 oz. Tia Maria Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur

-1 oz. Vodka

-1 oz. Freshly Brewed Espresso (or Cold Brew Concentrate)

-Garnish: 3 Coffee Beans

Method:  Fill a martini glass with ice and set aside to chill. Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake the ingredients together. Empty the martini glass of ice. Pour in the contents of the shaker using a strainer into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with three coffee beans.

A Portree Penicillin

Ingredients:

-2 oz. Isle of Skye 25 Year Old  

-3/4 oz. Honey-Ginger Syrup

-3/4 oz. Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice

Method: Pour the Isle of Skye 25 Year Old, honey ginger syrup and lemon juice into a mixing glass.  Add some ice and stir for one minute strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a little candied ginger on a cocktail stick.

Grand Gild

Ingredients:

-2 parts of Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis-Alexandre

-.75 parts of Fresh Squeeze Grapefruit Juice

-½ parts Lemon Juice

-½ bar spoon of Honey

-Dash of Orange Bitters

-Garnish:  Rosemary Sprigs and Orange Flower Water Spray

Method: Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker. Add ice. Shake and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and a gentle spray of orange flower water.

Here’s are two you can make for a group!!

Bayou Rum Holiday Punch Batched Cocktail

Ingredients: (for larger parties, you can equally increase all ingredients to maintain consistency)

-1.5 cups Bayou White Rum  

-1.5 cups cranberry juice or pomegranate juice

-3 cups of sparkling wine or ginger ale

-Garnish: Fresh cranberries

Method:  Add all ingredients into a large bowl. Carefully stir until fully combined.

Garnish with fresh cranberries.

Posada Ponche 

Ingredients:

-1 oz. Tequila CAZADORES Reposado (made with 100% Blue Weber Agave)

-10-12 Cups Water

-3 Cups Sugar

-1 Pilloncillos (mexican brown sugar)

– 8 Guavas (fresh or canned)

-6 Small sugar cane sticks (if available)

-1/2 of cup of raisins

-4 Slices of orange

-1 Cinnamon stick

-1 Cup hibiscus flower

-1 Sliced apple

Method: Heat water in a pot and all ingredients except for the tequila. Boil together for 30 minutes and serve in a hot coffee mug. Add 1 oz. of Tequila CAZADORES Reposado, cinnamon stick and a teaspoon to stir and eat the caramelized fruit.
