While 2020 may have been a roller coaster year of highs and lows, nothing denotes the holidays quite like transforming your home into a festive retreat for friendly feasting and family time.

Social distancing orders, private gatherings limited to 10 people, and the pandemic’s financial implication have all taken their toll.  But it’s time to flex that festive muscle and add some flair to your festivities.

This year it’s all about budget beating gifts and décor with a back-to-basics approach hinting at nostalgia and finding the beauty in simplicity and originality.

Time to Take It Online

If anything, the pandemic has entrenched a shift to the digital world and online shopping. Take the stress out of shopping for gifts, décor items, and groceries by going online.

For time sensitive packages make use of a courier service who will deliver nationwide on the same day. From small to overweight packages, perishables, store purchases, floral arrangements, gift baskets, jewelry, antiques, precious metals, and so much more, a rush courier service will have it delivered straight to your door with no fuss and in as little time as possible.

Trim the Tree

Add elegance and interest to your Christmas décor theme with farmhouse neutrals. White, black, navy, natural wood tones, and neutral colors are in this year.

Pinecones, baskets, recycled and vintage ornaments, and materials are all on-trend.

And if you don’t have room for a tree, a charming and effective alternative is to create the shape of a Christmas tree by using white fairy lights.

To the Mantelpiece

In keeping with the farmhouse scheme, foliage and flowers interspersed with candles in different shapes and sizes keep it natural.

 On the Table

Burlap, cotton, and linens in neutral tones with Buffalo Check plaid in both red and black or white and black for accent bring a rustic element to the Christmas table. Bring the outdoors in and add color with ivy, berries, pinecones, leaves, and fresh roses for the centerpiece.

Front Door Décor

In the desire for simplicity, nature-inspired wreaths are set to be the staple this year, with hints of rustic wood and an earthiness of foliage complete with pinecones. If a wreath is not for you, look to hanging some vintage ornaments on your front door.

Up the Stairs

Treat your banister as you would your mantlepiece going for a rustic look with greenery, berries, pinecones, and Christmas stockings to extend the cheer throughout your home.

Get Gifting

Recycling is in. Come up with crafty ideas by using burlap, brown paper, or material as wrapping paper.  Add a bespoke gift tag made by you and up the ante with an oversized silk ribbon bow.

Light A Candle

Nothing evokes good feelings like the smell of Christmas.  To get your home smelling like the holidays, light a candle in your favorite seasonal scents like the delicate aroma of balsam, pine, or freshly baked gingerbread cookies.

A Christmas to Remember

Channel that inner festive flair, unwrap the ornaments and dust off the décor and get to planning your holiday theme. Make memories with your family, return to long-forgotten traditions, cook up a storm, and above all, stay positive.

Considering Ice Baths for Anxiety? A Cautious, Compassionate Overview

Anxiety can make almost any promise of relief feel worth looking into. Some people become curious about ice baths for anxiety because cold exposure is often described as energizing, mood-shifting, or mentally clarifying. That interest is understandable. Still, the research is not strong enough to say
