Poet’s Corner – Cloths of Clouds

Setting our clocks back is painful. But if spring comes next, we're happy. Marsha Solomon reflects with her poem and artwork.

An opened fabric

Layers dancing

Through the sky in dark gray swirls

And bright orange below.

Layers upon layers

Rich in tones

Lifting irregular openings

Like a deepening soft ocean of shapes.

Measuring in changing forms

A touch of air and clouds coming close, yet far,

Touch the blue and grays as shapes gather and push.

The evening sky speaks in twisting, imagery

As breathless covers.

Poem, “Cloths of Clouds,” and artwork, called “Into the Sky,” by Marsha Solomon
