Anime, a Japanese film or television show animation style, has a global fanbase. And since anime shows and movies are now available on streaming platforms like Netflix and Crunchyroll, people are more into anime than ever. So, why not dress up as one of your favorite anime characters this Halloween?

You will be surprised to know that creating a Halloween costume based on an anime character can be extremely easy. Here are five such anime costume ideas that can fetch you compliments at a Halloween party.

  1. Makima from Chainsaw Man

Chainsaw Man season 1 was one of the most popular anime of the fall of 2022. So, dressing up as one of the anime’s major characters would catch some eyeballs at the Halloween party. While there are plenty of sexy Halloween costume ideas to consider based on anime characters, creating Makima’s look is probably the easiest.

You will need:

  • A formal white shirt
  • A pair of black trousers
  • A black tie
  • A pair of brown formal shoes
  • Red wig

Apart from the wig, you will most likely find all the elements in your wardrobe.

  1. Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx

Zero Two is one of the most beloved anime girls of recent times. Even though she is seen in the anime in a red uniform, you can try a more casual look for your Zero Two costume. To create the look, you will need:

  • A red sweatshirt or hoodie
  • A pair of black yoga pants
  • A pair of slippers
  • A pink wig
  • A pair of red devil horns

Since you keep it casual, you may consider going for something sexy, like a red swimsuit with high boots instead of a red sweatshirt or hoodie.

  1. Nico Robin from One Piece

Speaking of sexy anime characters, Nico Robin’s classic look is also easy to replicate. You do not need to buy a wig if you are a natural brunette. Just straighten your hair, and gather the following pieces of apparel and accessories:

  • A navy blue top with a deep neckline
  • A thigh-slit orange skirt
  • A pair of aviator sunglasses

Even though Nico Robin has appeared in the series in various outfits, the one you are about to create is the most iconic. And since the One Piece live-action series is coming to Netflix, the character’s popularity may reach a new height by this Halloween.

  1. Shoyo Hinata from Haikyuu

Haikyuu is one of the best sports anime of recent years, and the characters are equally iconic. If you want something simple for Halloween, you can replicate Shoyo Hinata’s look from the anime. As long as you can get your hands on the iconic black and orange basketball kit, creating your Hinata Halloween costume won’t be a challenge.

You will need the following things for the costume:

  • Black and orange basketball jersey and shorts
  • White sneakers with red stripes
  • An orange wig
  • Black Knee caps

You can try a casual look for the Hinata character, but that won’t be as iconic as the one in the basketball kit.

  1. Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen has recently come out and is only taking the anime’s popularity to the next level. Speaking of simple Halloween costumes, replicating the young Gojo look won’t be challenging. Also, you won’t always have to wear a blindfold if you dress up like young Gojo instead of the sensei from Season 1.

To complete the look, you will need the following items:

  • A black full-sleeve jacket with a turtle-neck
  • Black formal pants
  • Black sunglasses with small round frames
  • Black formal shoes
  • A white (or silver) wig

You may also need to color your eyelashes white to justify the look. And if you cannot do that, you can simply put on your sunglasses throughout the Halloween party.

Wrapping Up

For most anime-based Halloween costumes, you need to buy a wig. However, if you choose a character that has the same hair color as you, you can save a few more bucks on the wig. That being said, all the Halloween costumes mentioned in this article are easy to replicate. So, you are already saving more than your friends by choosing these options.
